Supporting England
Our multiyear grants are just the beginning—what truly sets Stop
Hunger apart is the way our people mobilise to support charity
partners with hands-on involvement.
For example, Entegra has worked with Trussell to review its
food procurement processes, helping the charity optimise its
operations. Meanwhile, our HR team has supported employability
initiatives by o昀昀ering personalised career coaching to jobseekers
referred by The Bread and Butter Thing and Tent Partnership
for Refugees. Passionate in unlocking futures through literacy, our
Schools and Universities team supported the expantion of our impact
with Chapter One with a nationwide book drive, donating 2,250 books to
schools from London to Dundee—many of which lacked the resources to stock
their libraries.
This impact is fuelled by passionate fundraising e昀昀orts across
Sodexo. The Health & Care team has raised an impressive £69,000
over the past decade by cycling across England. Our Corporate
Services and Government segments rallied 219 colleagues
to complete the 13 Bridges Challenge, raising over £27,000
for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. Even in challenging
environments like military barracks, our Government team found
creative ways to engage frontline sta昀昀—introducing card readers
and inclusive events during site closures, resulting in a marked
increase in both donations and volunteering.
Together, these e昀昀orts demonstrate how Stop Hunger’s model of strategic
funding, skills-based volunteering, and employee-led fundraising creates a
ripple e昀昀ect of impact—one that reaches far beyond the initial grant.
