Supporting Ireland

Stop Hunger’s partnership with Enactus UK & Ireland is helping
to unlock the potential of young university changemakers.
Our collaboration began in 2019 with the launch of
Action4Impact, a competition designed to tackle food insecurity
through student-led innovation. The success of this programme
caught the attention of Wells Fargo, who subsequently provided
a grant to replicate Action4Impact in Ireland. This marked a
signi昀椀cant milestone for our partnership and the growth of
student-led social action across ireland.
The winning team, created a sustainable soup enterprise, demonstrating how
youth-led ideas can drive real change. Wells Fargo employees, and Sodexo
colleagues, served as mentors and judges, and their feedback underscored
the value of the collaboration.
But the collaboration didn’t stop there, Sodexo and Wells Fargo colleagues
went beyond this funded opportunity and supported Enactus and 20 young
people across 5 Irish Universities on a designed project impact accelerator.
Both students and volunteers collaborated on a series of design thinking
sprints to better understand the root causes of the problems they’re working
to address.
This work re昀氀ects how Stop Hunger engages its ecosystem—clients, suppliers,
and volunteers—to amplify impact and build a fairer, more sustainable future
across Ireland.
The students’ passion and ideas were inspiring. Mentoring
them sharpened my own skills—it’s a privilege to support
and learn alongside them.”
